JUMPING IN!

Today I’m embarking on a new adventure. I don’t where it will take me, but that’s okay. As the saying goes… It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey along the way.

This new adventure is writing. For the past two years I have entertained the idea of writing and blogging, but only in my head. I’ve made little to no effort to get started and there’s only one reason for this procrastination. That one silly reason is fear!

The fear of failing, or more precisely the fear of making a complete fool of myself, has been this insurmountable obstacle blockading my pursuit to becoming a writer. Until now, that is. At some point you either have to walk away or you have to jump in and go for it. Today I decided to finally overcome this fear and jump in!

All I have so far is the title and a vision. It’s not much, but it’s enough to get started. I’ll figure the rest out as I go. And that’s exactly what embarking on a new journey is all about… the excitement of trekking into the unknown to experience new adventures and endless possibilities.

So here’s to being wild and living free. Being wild enough to jump into something new and living free from the unnecessary fear that I’ll somehow fail at this endeavor.

“He who is not everyday conquering some fear has not learned the secret of life.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

What fear will you overcome today?
